XRAMP

About

About XRAMP?

XRAMP was born out of the need to effectively manage large-scale New Relic environments. While New Relic is a powerful and highly capable platform, administering and governing it at enterprise scale presented challenges that existing tools and perspectives did not fully address. As we developed solutions to overcome these challenges within our own organizations, we recognized an opportunity to help others do the same.

Do you store my data?

XRAMP does not store your observability data. All telemetry, events, metrics, logs, and traces remain within your New Relic account. XRAMP stores only aggregated statistics, counts, metadata, and configuration information required to provide analytics and platform insights.

To improve performance, XRAMP can optionally cache query results. This allows data collection and refresh schedules to be controlled according to your requirements, ensuring queries are executed only when and how often you choose. When caching is enabled, page performance is nearly instantaneous. Without caching, page load times may be slower because some analytics require multiple queries to be executed and processed in real time.

The required New Relic User API Key is securely stored in encrypted form. Any optional Ingest Keys are also encrypted and protected using the same security controls.

Who are we?

We are a team of observability professionals, former New Relic experts, IBM veterans, and Site Reliability Engineers with decades of experience spanning operations, software development, sales, and marketing. We are passionate about collaborating, tackling complex challenges, and delivering innovative solutions.

What is up with the cat logo?

Meet RelCat! XRAMP is built as a collection of modules, with new features, enhancements, and updates organized into Release Catalogs, or "RelCats." These Release Catalogs move through our development and testing lifecycle and serve as the foundation for how we plan, track, and deliver our work. Over time, the RelCat mascot naturally emerged from this process and became part of our team culture. And honestly, he's pretty cool too.
